DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FLUSH DOOR AND WOODEN DOOR

Flush Door:
A flush Door has completely flat surfaces on both side. They are made by sandwiching light weight wooden blocks placed vertically in thin ply on both sides. Light weight blocks are glued to each other by resin and it also makes door light weight. They can be finished by either laminates or veneer.

Wooden Door:
A wooden Door is completely manufactured from the solid wood. There are various types of wooden doors available in the market like Paneled Door, Battened Door etc. These Doors are manufactured by joining wooden panels. Wooden Doors can be finished using various types of polishing process which gives them a great aesthetic look.



Difference between flush door and wooden door :

1. Composition

Flush Door are made by using light weight wooden block pieces which are joined by resin and pasted a thin plywood on both side. These Doors are then finished by veneer or mica.

Wooden Door is made from solid wood. There are various types of doors are available like Paneled door, Battened door, Glazed door etc. In these type of door panels of wood are joined together as per Design or requirement. The frame is grooved on the inside edges to install one or more panels.


2. Thickness

Flush Door Usually available in market with thickness 25mm, 30 mm and 35 mm. But as per requirement you can manufacture any thickness.

Wooden Door Usually available in market with thickness of 25mm, 30 mm and 35 mm. But as per requirement you can manufacture any thickness.


3. Finishing

Flush doors are generally finished with veneer and mica on it. Veneer can be further polish and mica does not have to polish.

Wooden doors can finish with various ways using various polishing materials like melamine polish, PU polish and laminate polish.


4. Maintenance

Flush door finished with mica is easy to clean and do not have to further cost on it but if it is finished by veneer then it would have to polish after few years.

Wooden door have to polish on it and it needs to refinish after some time to like before.


5. Strength

Flush doors have good strength but not as good as wooden door.

Wooden doors have better strength than flush door with better lifespan.

6. Wood wearing

Flush door can not be resize means its edges can not be wearing more than 5 mm after installation.

Wooden door can be wear and resize.


7. Carving

Carving can not be done on flush door. 

Carving can done on wooden door.


8. Aesthetical Appearance

Flush doors are cost effective but they are not aesthetical appealing as Wooden door.

Wooden doors are aesthetically more appealing than flush doors.


9. Cost

Flush doors are less expensive compare to ply doors and wooden doors.

Wooden doors are made from solid wood so they are expensive. But the cost varies by quality of wood.
