### COST ANALYSIS OF 4" THICK RED RICK MASONRY WALL.

**Dimension of wall : 10' x 10'**

As per above dimension, Length of wall is 10' and height of wall is 10'. So,Total area of wall is 100 sqft.

The size of red bricks which are used in construction is 9" x 4" x 3".

Volume of each brick is 0.0625 Cuft.

Now calculate the volume of brick with mortar. Assume half inch thick of mortar layer on brick. So size of brick becomes 9.5" x 4" x 3.5".

So, Total volume of each brick with mortar is 0.077 cuft.

Now calculate the number of bricks are used in wall,

To calculate it first we have to find volume of wall,

Which is 100 sqft x 4" thick = 33.33 cuft.

Considering the wastage, the required amount of bricks are 450 nos.

Now, Volume of mortar used in each brick is,

= 0.077 - 0.0625

= 0.0145.

So, Total volume of mortar is,

= no of bricks x mortar volume for each brick

= 432 x 0.0145

= 6.264.

We should consider 1.33X for dry volume of mortar due to fog filling and shrinkage occur with mortar.

So, 6.264 x 1.33

= 8.33 cuft. Total volume of mortar required.

Proportion of mortar is 1:4,

Now calculate the quantity of cement and sand.

Cement = 8

Volume of each cement bag is 1.22 cuft.

So, Required bags are =
