CHECKLIST FOR RCC SLABS AND BEAMS

  1. Beam bottom's line, level and width should be check properly as per drawing.
  2. Beam side's straightness and plumb should be checked.
  3. Beam to beam measurements shall be checked as per architectural working drawing.
  4. Individual level and diagonal of each slab block should be checked.
  5. Slab thickness level shall be marked with nails on the peripheral beam's outer side.
  6. Slab thickness and beam depth should be checked as per structural drawing.
  7. Support props for slab and beam bottom's should be checked.
  8. Bamboo bracing should be done at around 6' height from floor level.
  9. Junctions of columns and beams shall be checked so that they are water tight.
  10. Deshuttering oil should be applied to beam and slab shuttering.
  11. Formwork of staircase shall be checked for dimensions of tread and riser, level of treads and plumb of risers.
  12. Side line of peripheral beam shall be checked and should be cross supported to avoid bloating of sides.
  13. Reinforcement shall be checked as per RCC structural drawing.
  14. Proper covers should be provided in beams and slabs.
  15. Electrical points, electrical conduits and fan hooks shall be provide as per drawing.
  16. Reduction of column should be occur at the level of beam bottom.
  17. Check required dowels for elevation or other external extensions.
  18. Proper number of chairs shall be provided for slab of 8mm steel.
  19. Ring should be provided within the distance of 75 mm for beams and columns.
  20. Taping should be done at ply joints to avoid slurry bleeding.
  21. Concrete slump should be checked at site if required.
  22. Concrete grade should be checked before the pouring.
  23. Compaction of concrete should be done by appropriate vibrator.
  24. Cast cubes at site to check compressive strength of concrete after 7 and 28 days.
  25. Cast min. 6 cubes at site.
